Alter Landscapes Ltd is a family-run business based in Lochwinnoch (20 miles West of Glasgow).  Alter was founded in 1991, by Alan and Mary Miller, joined some years later by their sons, Fraser and Alan Jnr. The family have been providing fencing and soft landscaping services for more than three decades currently with 37 staff in employment.

In 2021, in conjunction with a companywide rebrand, Alter expanded their business in a new direction, opening the builders merchant site “Alter Supplies & Contracting”. This expansion was part funded by Greater Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Leader Programme through The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Situated at the side of the A737 is the innovative Alter Supplies, Unit A, Park Farm, Lochwinnoch, PA12 4BU.

This exciting change for Alter marks the next step in their journey, enabling to provide new services and to help serve a broader customer base whilst offering more employment opportunities with in the local community.

First established with in the agricultural community the business continues to grow from strength to strength acquiring National Highways Sector 2A Schemes approval for works on Motorways and RISQS audited for work within the Rail Sector with a strong work ethic and drive for quality at the heart of the company.
